and I created it from scratch. FREE!
Yap,
I did everything by myself and I
paid nobody to build it. And I
am not a web designer or
a computer geek. I am just a cat owner, who wanted to create a
site for her cats and did not want to pay a cent to web
designers. Why?..
I had another website built by a professional web designer. I paid him
$700 for his work but it was a waste of money. He used a free website
template from the Internet and never replied my emails. Besides,
he registered my domain name as his own. And now he owns my website
name, not
me. Though it was my money!
So
I decided to do everything by myself. And the main point: not to
pay anybody to
create my website! Right! Not a cent, a penny, or any other currency
for web design. I pay only $3.50 a month for hosting. But
that's
all. Not a penny more.
Believe
me, any cat,
fool, web designer,
man, woman or
girl like me can do the
same! If I did it, you also can! Why not? My husband can, my friends
can... Why not you? Nowadays to own a website is like to own an email
account. I have mine. Do you want to have yours?
In

creating your website FREE:
1.Domain Name Lookout
What
is doman name? Domain
name is the
name of your website. In other
words, it
is your address or your website address in the Internet.
Your domain name is your property. You can sell it. You can present it.
Or you can create your own
website. It can be your personal page, blog, online shop,
newsletter, virtual assistance page, business or personal coaching,
photo gallery, your
home town portal, family/
company website, etc.
You can do anything you want with your domain
name. Because
it's your Internet property!
If you want to have your own online shop
or blog, please keep in mind that Google prefers "old websites". I.e. a
domain which were registered a few years ago (even with the same
content) has more chances to be on page #1 in Google than a
new domain.
That's why I
registered my domain name in a hurry. I wanted visitors to find my
website on page #1, not other websites!
Once
you have
chosen your domain name, the next step is to register it. I usually do
ithere.
Why to register?
It means that the name of your website becomes your sole property. If
you want to own a house or an appartment, you buy it first. And only
then it becomes your
property. It's the same with domain
names.
The domain
registrationis only
$3.50 a month! Less
than a breakfast at Starbucks. Hurry up till promotion price

right now someone else can register your domain name. It's a
competition. The
winners (they always come first) took the best domain names.

And Facebook? So many of its members have the same names. I was lucky
and quick enough to register my website before my "competitors" had
done that.
My husband was not that lucky
because he came too late. He can't have a website as his name.com or
even various modifications of his name
because someone grabbed them before.

your website
Websites can look
different in different browsers. So to test my web page I
use these
two major browsers: Internet Explorer and FireFox.
